First, you have to hang upside down on the bar. Then you grab onto the blue ropes... Then you pull yourself up and you are a Tweety Bird!
Of course you have to do a flip to get off! Jenny knows how to be a Tweety Bird now!

Still Smiling after 76 miles
This is Dave's Dad after biking 76 miles from Allendale to Grand Ledge. Dave's Dad is training for a bike trip called Sea to Sea--going from Seattle to NJ over the summer. This was his first LONG bike ride and he was still smiling when he got to our house! We had Dave's family out for memorial day and Dave's dad rode out and his mom drove. We also had Dave's sister Lisa and her two kids, and his brother Brian and his 3 kids! We had a fun day that ended with a trip to Lickety Split! YUM!

Relay for Life
Kelly spend most of the afternoon and evening at Relay for Life-a walk-a-thon type fundraiser for Cancer. The group she attends afterschool that does service projects had a booth at Relay so she helped out there and walked and hung out with friends. She went afterschool on Friday, came home at 10:30 p.m., went back at 10 a.m. and left after Abbey's performance at 1p.m.
Abbey's music class performed about 5 songs, some using her recorder at Relay for Life. She did a great job!

A Trip to the Zoo
Jenny's 1st grade class went to the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids today! We took a bus for an hour to get there! It was a blast. These are the 4 kids in my group. They were good kids (notice the one giving the goofy face!) We walked around the zoo, had some lunch and then finished the rest of the zoo in the afternoon. We met up with Matt and Gail who knew we were going but didn't make plans to go until yesterday! Jenny talked about it all week to her teachers but when they were finally close enought to meet, Jenny got all shy! Gail and Matt did get a chance to meet her teacher and her TA.
Then Jenny got a chance to play with Anna and show her off to her friends. They sat in the Caboose of a play train and all screamed together--totally led by Anna--she loved it!
On the bus ride home, about 1/4 of the kids fell asleep. It was so cute. The little girl I had in my group fell asleep on me, but not Jenny! She listened to my MP3 player and sang to High School Musical 2 the whole ride home!
We had a fun day!

Band Concert for Kelly
This is Kelly all ready for her Band Concert. Their uniform is black pants and a white top. She plays 2nd chair trombone. This is the 6th grade band on stage. They play in the auditorium at the high school. We watched her play and then watched the 7th and 8th grade bands play as well. These guys did great. They played School Spirit--I believe it was a WI college song, Lacucaracha, 1812 Overture, Creepy Crawlers and Mission Impossible Theme.
They also had an opportunity to play a short piece with just their instruments. It was fun to watch and Kelly did a great job! She is the only girl in trombones!
