An exciting weekend

We had quite an eventful weekend! Kelly is in a group at school that helps out at Relay for Life...so here's Kelly, dressed in her new shirt and cool tie-dye socks, ready to spend the night on Friday night. They slept a little in a tent outside, got moved in the middle of the night inside the school because of lightning, and got a little more sleep, then did a shift walking at 6a.m. She had fun and we're proud of her for helping out such a great cause!! Abbey had Girl Scouts that night and she learned how to do CPR--she said she didn't have to put her mouth on the dummy...thank goodness! Jenny hung out with our friends, the Riekse's and they went to Relay to check it out. Dave and I went to dinner and a show in Turkeyville!

On Saturday, we bought a new basketball hoop. Our other one was damaged in a wind storm. While Dave was hard at work putting the hoop together, the girls played in the box it came in...why do we even bother buying toys? There should be a store that just sells boxes!!

Today, we had an exciting day at church! Jenny "graduated" from 2nd grade and out of Children and Worship and she received a Bible from the church. She was very excited about it! We went out today and got a bible cover for it too. I can't wait to read through it with her.

Abbey "graduated" from 5th grade and now she is an official Jr. Higher!!! She and her friends got a shirt welcoming them into 6th grade, they can officially use the youth room and she'll be going on the mission trip this summer to Ohio. Yea Abbey!!

What a fun weekend! We're counting the days until summer vacation and then starts all the summer activities.
