Silver Bells--Cold Feenstra's!

We bundled up to go to the Silver Bells light parade in downtown Lansing yesterday. I personally had 5 layers of clothes on plus a winter coat and a blanket or two! I would have to guess it was about 20 degrees with a lower windchill. We met our friends, the Riekse's there--they were cold, too! After the parade, we went to the capital to see the Christmas tree lit up and as soon as the tree was lit, they did some fireworks over the Capital. It was pretty--and still pretty cold!
It was fun but we were all numb as we waited in the car to get out of the downtown area.

What's happening...

I guess you can say Winter is officially here. We got some snow! Enough for Jenny want to get dressed up and go play in the snow! She had enough to throw snowballs at the window!

Abbey wasn't feeling so hot this week. She had a bit of a stomach bug and seems to be over it now but still tired. Jenny has a new list for Christmas...All she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth!! She finally lost her other top one on Thurs. She would not eat her hot dog for dinner since her tooth was so loose so I cut it up and she ate it with a fork and as she pulled her fork out, her tooth came out with it! She cried and cried! But she's used to it now and even speaks with a bit of a whistle!

Kelly had a big week this week! She perfomed a duet with her friend Morgan for parents on Tues and then perfomed it before a judge today and got a second place ribbon!! Awesome job Kelly and Morgan!

She also had a fun day with her friends on Friday. They didn't have school so I picked them all up and took them to play lazer tag and then they hung out here for the rest of the day. One of the girls is moving to TN in a week or so.

And that's what's happening here.

The tooth is finally out!

Jenny finally lost her tooth! It has been hanging by a thread since last night and when we told her she could go to Chuck E Cheese with a friend if she pulled it out, she went right into the bathroom, took a tissue and twisted it out! She doesn't like to pull them out--the last one was hanging by a thread and she lost it while she was eating snack at school and swallowed it. Thank goodness the tooth fairy took a note in place of the tooth! The orthodontist told us she needed 8 teeth pulled---now we're down to 6!
